PCI Virtual Tour

PCI Pharma Services approached us to develop a comprehensive virtual tour of its Bridgend facility, providing customers, inspectors and auditors with a detailed view of the site without the need for a physical visit.

The project needed to go considerably further than a conventional 360° walkthrough. PCI wanted an engaging, informative and easily accessible resource that could demonstrate its facilities, operational processes and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Using Matterport technology as the foundation, the brief was to capture multiple areas of the site and integrate additional video footage highlighting key manufacturing and operational activities, including labelling procedures, storage, administration and quality control. Supporting documentation also needed to be accessible directly from within the virtual environment.

Crucially, the completed experience needed to be hosted within a dedicated, secure website, allowing authorised visitors to explore the facility remotely, access relevant information and undertake inspections and audits more efficiently, significantly reducing the demands on PCI’s on-site personnel.

We developed a tailored virtual tour experience that combined Matterport’s immersive 3D technology with specially commissioned video content, photography and supporting documentation, creating a comprehensive digital representation of PCI’s Bridgend facility.

Working closely with the PCI team, we identified the key areas, processes and information that would be most valuable to customers, inspectors and auditors. We then planned and captured a series of interconnected virtual tours, enabling visitors to navigate different areas of the facility and explore them in detail.

To provide a greater understanding of the site’s operations, we incorporated additional filmed sequences demonstrating specific processes and procedures. These were integrated into the virtual environment alongside relevant information and downloadable documents, allowing visitors to access further detail at appropriate points throughout the tour.

Rather than simply presenting a standalone Matterport experience, we brought everything together within a purpose-built website, incorporating secure login functionality to control access to sensitive information.

The result was a practical, intuitive resource that combined visual exploration with detailed operational information, designed to support remote inspections and audits while reducing the time and disruption associated with hosting physical site visits.
