Care Forum Wales
The brief
Care Forum Wales needed a complete suite of materials for its annual Wales Care Awards, centred around a substantial 245x330mm printed awards programme produced to a high specification for the event itself. The programme brings together bilingual editorial content, award information, finalist profiles, sponsor material and advertising from a wide range of contributors.
Our role extends well beyond simply laying out supplied pages. We collate and organise incoming material, set the editorial content, arrange Welsh translation, manage numerous rounds of proofs and, where necessary, create adverts when finished artwork is not supplied.
Alongside the programme, we produce the supporting event material, including individual winner certificates, digital invitations and personalised VIP place cards, all following the same event identity.
Our approach
This is a project we know extremely well. Having produced the Wales Care Awards material year after year, we understand both the structure of the event and the practical pressures that come with pulling everything together.
That familiarity allows us to manage the job proactively. We keep track of editorial copy, translations, sponsor logos, advertisements, finalist information and late amendments, chasing or resolving gaps where necessary rather than allowing them to become last-minute problems.
Where an advertiser cannot provide suitable artwork, we can create the advert ourselves so that the programme keeps moving. The Blood Bikes Wales page in the programme is one example.
The same event identity is then carried consistently across the programme, certificates, invitations and place cards. Just as importantly, we manage the production timetable through proofing and print, making sure the finished programme is delivered when it is needed.
It is the kind of annual project where reliability matters as much as design.
